Short Bio, Teaching and Research activities

Education

  • Fabrizio Argenti graduated in Electronic Engineering (cum laude) at the University of Florence in 1989, discussing a thesis entitled "Classification and segmentation of images from remote sensing by textural analysis". For his degree thesis, he received the "Renato Mariani" Award, organized by the Florence Section of the Italian Electrotechnical and Electronic Association (AEI)
  • In 1993, he received the title of Ph.D. in Electronic and Information Engineering, discussing the thesis "Multi-resolution coding and digital transmission of still and moving images"
  • Since November 2002, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Engineering (former Department of Electronics and Telecommunications) of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence, in the area of Telecommunications. From 1993 to 2002, he was with the same Department as a Research Assistant
